Default Tyria - What you don't know!

Tyria is a girls name meaning Thor's battle! Being a very rare female first name and a very rare surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census). The girl's name Tyria \t(y)-ria\ is a variant of Tyra (Old English), and the meaning of Tyria is "Thor's battle".

Tyra Banks comes to mind immediately.

Another famous/notorious girl having the name Tyria is Aileen Wuornos girlfriend.

which brings me to stray from my original intent of looking up more news on Guild Wars 2, I read more into Aileen's story and according to the pages I've been on, she left home at age 15, then it came to me, something is wrong there, she had been caught several times during her teenage years living on the streets but the authority did nothing? how is it that the government let a teenage girl live on the streets? how many more are living on the streets now? btw Monsters excellent performance by Charlize

anyway, just a thought, back to Tyria!

Tyre - where the famous purple dye - Tyrian Purple was produce.

lol so did you know tyria is a name? and that i means Thor's Battle? was any part of the guild wars story a derivative of Thor's Battle?

On searching more, i also found Ascalon!

it has a Northern Wall and a Vizier who led some battle!

I didn't know, but for some reason, I'm not really surprised...

I may be too tired to be surprised.

They don't, or at least they try to not let it happen. But the whole foster system is overburdened and underfunded, so kids do fall through the many cracks. Still is bad today, and with people like Jolie spearheading overseas adoptions rather then adopting here, does not help.

Looking at all this Scandinavic connotations in GWEN it might be possible that Tyria did not come out of nowhere to GW.

Thaks for the info, interesting.
Alot of things in GW are based of something in RL somehow.
Kaingeng city is based on this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kowloon_Walled_City

I think anyone with an access to Wiki knew this looong time ago.

And in Buddhism they are not diety, but demons.
